Morrison "Straight Rail" Frames
From an overhead view, all the rails appear to be straight. The tubing is only bent on a vertical ("hard") plane. This type of frame requires the use of "outriggers" to mount the body, and it has the advantage of being able to literally drop the body ("channel") over the frame to obtain a lower stance. Both 2"x3" (for race cars) and heavier 2"x4" chassis are available in this configuration.

Advances in metal forming technology have allowed us to manufacture a full perimeter style frame. The exclusive Morrison Profile 2"x4" frame features both vertical (hard) and horizontal (easy) bends, and is designed to follow the shape of OEM chassis in many applications. (Body Mounts are offered on '49-54 Chev, '55-57 Chev, and '53-62 Corvette). Please see Catalog Link at right for more details. Our 2x4 Profile frames are CAD engineered to the exact make/model vehicle. The builder has only to install the body mounts to complete the chassis. The stance and ride height are made to the builder’s specs.
